I have applauded the efforts of Byron Dooley of Seven of Hearts previously, including both his white wines and Pinot Noir. I will continue to do so because I believe he is making a quality product at a significantly valuable price, that balance a high level of Old and New World conventions, and his Seven of Hearts Chardonnay is a prime example. I’ve been reading through many of my tasting notes on northwest white wines as the year comes to an end. My first full year in Oregon I tasted a lot of wines and had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people. Hopefully in the coming year I will have ample opportunity to visit even more tasting rooms in the Northwest.
